HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B156 COOPERS LANE, POTTERS BAR/CUFFLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Coopers Lane, Potters Bar/Cuffley from its junction with Coopers Lane Road north eastwards to its junction with B156 Judges Hill, a distance of approximately 884m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B156 The Causeway, A1000 (Hatfield Road/Great North Road), B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Northaw Road East/Northaw Road West/Judges Hill).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
