Please see below for the Herts Highways notice regarding the temporary closure of Vineyards Road, Northaw.

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VINEYARDS ROAD, CUFFLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Vineyards Road, Cuffley from its junction with B157 The Ridgeway south westwards to its junctions with B156 Northaw Road West, a distance of approximately 1929m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B157 (The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Northaw Road East/Northaw Road West)

or via B157 (The Ridgeway/Shepherds Way), A1000 (Great North Road/Hatfield Road) and B156 (The Causeway/Coopers Lane/Judges Hill/Northaw Road West).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
