Welcome to Northaw and Cuffley Parish Council

Northaw and Cuffley is an English civil parish within the district of Welwyn Hatfield and the county of Hertfordshire

Nestled in Hertfordshire's rolling countryside, Northaw and Cuffley Parish seamlessly blends natural beauty with historic charm. Explore scenic footpaths, discover ancient woodlands and enjoy traditional village pubs. This rural parish consists of two villages. Northaw is a small, rural, village within the Green Belt. While there are no local shops, village amenities include two pubs, a church, a village hall, the Kidston Institute Hall and a community orchard. Cuffley is a larger village. While bounded by Goff Oak to the East, and the M25 to the South, the Northern and Western boundaries consist of ancient woodland and agricultural Green Belt. Station Road is the retail centre of Cuffley Village, and the heart of the village, with a retail centre and public gardens, to the North, and Cuffley Station and Sopers Road Business Estate to the South. The Village centre provides a GPs’ surgery, dentists, a village hall, community centre, and Library, with a variety of local shops, including restaurants and take aways, all serviced by both long stay and short stay car parks. The Plough pub is located a short distance away on Plough Hill. Each village supports a primary school, however there are no secondary schools or colleges in the Parish.
