  1. TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS TO THE CLERK ON THE GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION ON NEW TOWN LOCATIONS

Following the announcement of the proposed 7 initial New Town locations, including Crews Hill and Chase Park, Enfield, the government have opened a public consultation, marking the first formal step in shaping the New Towns Programme.

At the previous planning meeting we discussed responses regarding infrastructure concerns.

Responses are now sought relating to the questions regarding the SEA environmental report, the location of the development, and the proposed planning policies (pages 5-21).

The consultation response is required by 19th May 2026.

A reminder that all councillors are free to submit an individual response, in addition to any response being provided by the Council.
